Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations for a cosmetics distribution company operating within ADGM free zone. The role is responsible for financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, inventory accounting, and full compliance with UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax requirements applicable to Mainland Abu Dhabi & ADGM entities. Experience in ERP-based, inventory-driven environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets
• Manage general ledger activities and lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, aging, and reconciliations
• Ensure accurate UAE VAT compliance, including return filings, reconciliations, and correct VAT treatment
• Manage UAE Corporate Tax compliance in line with Mainland Abu Dhabi , ADGM and Federal Tax Authority requirements
• Handle inventory accounting, COGS, and import-related costs (customs duty, freight, clearing charges)
• Support internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls
• Improve accounting processes and ERP utilization
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred
• 8-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in distribution, FMCG, or cosmetics
• Experience with UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax (a must), including Free Zone entities
• Solid knowledge of AP/AR, inventory accounting, and ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
