Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Oversee payroll management utilizing systems like ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, or Paychex, including benefits administration and payroll tax filings.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by implementing internal audit procedures and documenting processes thoroughly.
- Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and supporting schedules for external auditors.
- Support corporate accounting activities including month-end close procedures, general ledger reconciliation, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Collaborate with human resources on benefits administration and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data entry to ensure accurate employee records.
- Participate in non-profit or governmental accounting projects when applicable, applying specialized knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with multiple accounting software platforms including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or UltiPro.
- Strong understanding of payroll management systems such as ADP or Paychex along with benefits administration processes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis skills and produce accurate financial reports under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures.
- Excellent data entry skills including 10 key typing proficiency for efficient processing of large volumes of financial data.

Pay: $90,563.52 - $103,409.82 per year
