Senior Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Oversee payroll management using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro, including benefits administration and payroll tax compliance.
• Conduct account reconciliations regularly to verify data integrity across multiple systems including PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or HRIS platforms.
• Assist with internal controls and SOX compliance procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure audit readiness.
• Support corporate accounting activities such as general ledger maintenance, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and analysis of financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects involving governmental accounting standards, non-profit accounting practices, or specialized industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks Online and Desktop, or similar platforms; experience with data entry and technical accounting is essential.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP or Paychex and benefits administration processes.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports.
• Prepare 1040s, 1065s, 1120, 1120s, 1041 and 706 returns.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to perform account reconciliation and journal entries accurately.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy in bookkeeping tasks such as debits & credits and 10-key typing. Pay: $68,055.74 - $100,000.00 per year
