Senior Accountant – Construction

The Role
We are currently recruiting a Senior Accountant for a construction contracting company based in Dubai, UAE. The role will be responsible for managing financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting controls, and supporting finance operations within a project-based construction environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and working closely with project teams to ensure financial transparency and cost control. Key Responsibilities • Manage the monthly closing process and financial reporting • Maintain general ledger accuracy and balance sheet reconciliations • Prepare management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash position) • Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards • Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance • Coordinate with cost control and project teams • Monitor working capital, receivables and payables • Support audits and maintain strong financial documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • 6–10 years of accounting experience • Experience in the construction / contracting industry • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting • Experience with VAT and UAE Corporate Tax • Experience with QuickBooks preferred • Strong analytical and communication skills
