Senior Accountant - Fully Bilingual

The Senior Accountant oversees core accounting functions for a healthcare operation in Puerto Rico, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with local regulations. This role works closely with Center Management, Corporate Finance, and external auditors to support financial and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3–4 years of experience in a similar role Salary can be negotiable depending on experience.
• Bilingual: English & Spanish (required)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Healthcare, medical billing, or multi-entity experience preferred
• Knowledge of Puerto Rico accounting, payroll, and tax compliance
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable, vendor records, and intercompany transactions
• Support billing, collections, and revenue recognition
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules; support CRIM reporting
• Process payroll, benefits, bonuses, and Fondo del Seguro del Estado filings
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and variance analysis
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, audits, and compliance
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready records
• Assist external auditors during annual audits and tax return preparation
