Job Summary
This role is a hybrid position combining senior-level accounting work with operational leadership responsibilities inside the firm.

The person in this role will help manage client accounting work while also ensuring the internal systems, workflows, and deadlines of the firm run smoothly.

You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to help organize client delivery, maintain operational structure, and support the continued scaling of UltraPrecise.

You will play a key role in ensuring that client work is delivered on time, staff are supported, and the firm operates efficiently as we grow.

Responsibilities

Client Accounting Work

Support client engagements and help manage accounting workload across the firm, including:

  • Performing and reviewing accrual-based accounting work
  • Managing month-end close processes
  • Preparing financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Supporting nonprofit fund accounting and allocations
  • Assisting with audit preparation and financial cleanup projects
  • Participating in client financial review meetings when needed

Operations & Practice Management

Serve as the operational backbone of the firm by managing internal systems and ensuring work flows efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and organizing Double, our practice management and time tracking system
  • Monitoring all client deadlines, close schedules, and deliverables
  • Ensuring work is properly assigned and tracked across the team
  • Helping maintain accountability for client delivery timelines
  • Identifying workflow issues and implementing improvements
  • Supporting leadership with operational visibility and reporting

Process Documentation & SOP Development

A critical part of this role is helping the firm build and maintain clear internal processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Documenting accounting workflows and internal processes
  • Ensuring systems and documentation remain up to date
  • Helping improve operational consistency across the team

Team Support & Coordination

Help support the accounting team and ensure work moves efficiently across staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance and support to junior staff
  • Helping coordinate workloads across the team
  • Identifying issues or bottlenecks before they impact deadlines
  • Supporting quality control and consistency in financial work
  • Helping maintain strong communication between staff and leadership

Experience Required

  • 7+ years of accounting experience (full-cycle accounting)
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP
  • Experience working in an outsourced accounting firm or CAS practice
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online Experience with practice management or workflow systems (Double preferred)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience coordinating teams or managing workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • U.S. residency and ability to work EST hours

Preferred

  • Experience supporting nonprofit accounting and fund accounting
  • Experience preparing clients for audits
  • Experience with the following tools: QuickBooks Online, Double, Dext, Bill.com, Ramp, Notion
