Accounting Senior Manager

Role Purpose:
Oversee and manage SABIL bookkeeping operations and financial accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the strategic financial decision-making of the organization. Ensure the timely and systematic recording of financial transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and management of SABIL fixed assets register.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting:

Manage the accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger, upholding rigorous adherence to stringent accounting standards within the framework of National Grain Supply (SABIL).

Conduct regular and thorough reconciliation of general ledger accounts, promptly addressing any identified discrepancies to uphold financial accuracy and transparency within SABIL.

Oversee branch-specific financial transactions and reporting to support strategic decision-making and financial transparency.

Collaborate on annual budget development, monitor performance, and provide strategic insights for financial optimization.

Support in the development of financial statements, ensuring all required general ledger entries and financial transactions are provided to the Corporate Finance department.

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, offering insights into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Accounts Management:

Supervise the accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are processed timely and accurately, promoting smooth financial operations.

Support in the accounts receivable process, ensuring all recorded accounts receivables are collected by the Treasury Operations unit.

Implement and enforce payment policies and terms with vendors, cultivating positive, transparent relationships for mutual success and long-term partnerships between National Grain Supply (SABIL) and its vendors.

Manage and optimize the accounts receivable process, ensuring precise and timely customer invoicing to maintain financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Fixed Asset Management:

Manage the fixed assets register, including the tracking of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation to maintain accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct periodic physical asset verifications, systematically reconciling any identified discrepancies to ensure the maintenance of accurate and reliable records.
Internal Controls and Compliance:

Implement and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard the financial integrity of SABIL.

Ensure strict adherence to accounting policies and standards across all branches, fostering regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong financial governance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience is required, out of which 3-5 years at a senior/mid-managerial level and in a role of similar discipline/capacity is mandatory.

Experience in the industry is highly preferred.

Experience in SAP ERP is highly preferred.

Excellent in English.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any finance-related discipline.

Certifications (
CGMA, CPA, CMA
) are mandatory.
