Salary Range: $100,000.00 – $135,000.00, DOE

Location: Milpitas, CA


This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the

Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, including oversight of the accounts payable and acounts receivable functions, supervision of the Accounts Payable Specialist, and management of daily cash flow and banking activities. The Accounting Manager ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies. This includes the timely review and posting of batch transactions during the month.


In addition, this role directly assists the Controller and CFO with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and audit support. The Accounting Manager plays a key role in maintaining the general ledger, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and improving accounting procedures and internal controls.


This position also participates in special projects as needed and regularly interacts with senior leadership, including occasional direct collaboration with the CEO. The nature of the activities performed in this role requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee and manage the full accounts payable cycle, including cash flow planning and payment scheduling.
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable Specialist, including performance management and participation in hiring and termination decisions.
  • Prepare and review monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations using Made2Manage.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of month-end close activities and financial statements.
  • Prepare and file required business tax returns, including sales and use tax filings and the annual North Carolina return.
  • Maintain monthly general ledger support schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and detailed accounting and cost analysis worksheets.
  • Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Provide direct support to the Controller and CFO on financial analysis, reporting, and other accounting initiatives as needed.
  • Update and maintain financial KIP data to support management reporting and decision-making.


Required Skills


  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate financial data.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of software applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as accounting and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and make timely, well-reasoned decisions.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong commitment to data integrity and quality.


Preferred Skills


  • Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles)
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and practices
  • Previous employment with a manufacturing company is a plus
  • Knowledge of JobCost Accounting ERP software


Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or 5-years of ERP General Ledger accounting job experience
