The Accounts Assistant supports the Accounts Department in managing day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, bookkeeping, invoice processing, and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update daily accounting records in Tally or other accounting software.
- Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents.
- Assist in maintaining petty cash and preparing daily cash reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts on a regular basis.
- Support payroll preparation by maintaining attendance and overtime records.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory filing documentation.
- Maintain records of fixed assets, expenses, and revenue summaries.
- Coordinate with internal departments (F&B, Front Office, Stores) for accurate billing and cost tracking.
- Prepare monthly reports such as income & expense summaries, outstanding payables, and receivables.
- Ensure timely filing and safe storage of all accounting documents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in hospitality or retail).
- Working knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and basic accounting principles.
- Familiar with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance procedures.
