- Manage day-to-day accounting operations in compliance with international accounting standards.
- Prepare, review, and finalize UK accounts including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements.
- Handle bookkeeping, reconciliations, ledgers, and journal entries with accuracy.
- Manage VAT returns, corporation tax, payroll processing, and other UK-specific compliance matters.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Work with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders as required.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure data integrity.
- Support management in financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
- Assist in process improvements and implementation of accounting best practices.
Requirements
- ACCA qualified with completed articleship (mandatory).
- 4 years of professional experience in accounting (UK accounts experience is mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, VAT.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Xero and familiarity with other accounting software.
