Senior Accounts Manager

Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)

Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished and highly skilled Senior Accounts Manager to lead our tax function and ensure full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns, leading strategic tax planning initiatives, and advising internal stakeholders or clients on tax optimization and risk mitigation strategies.

This position requires deep expertise in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, along with a strong grasp of evolving tax legislation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing audits, conducting technical tax research, and delivering clear, actionable guidance to both finance teams and business leaders. This is a leadership role with significant influence over the company’s financial health and compliance posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage complex corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns in accordance with applicable tax laws and standards.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation; proactively assess impacts and ensure implementation of necessary compliance measures.
  • Conduct advanced tax research and technical analysis on complex issues, delivering practical solutions and documentation.
  • Develop and execute effective tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions, minimize liabilities, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support financial reporting processes by providing tax-related insights and preparing related schedules in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in reporting.
  • Lead or support the company’s response during tax audits, including preparation of documentation, audit defense, and liaison with tax authorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and/or clients, offering guidance on transaction structuring, tax implications, and compliance risks.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal departments.
  • Mentor and guide junior tax staff, contributing to the team’s technical development and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in taxation, with demonstrated expertise in corporate and partnership tax.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations; experience with international tax is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead tax planning initiatives and manage complex tax compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing or supporting tax audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and research software (e.g., CCH, Thomson Reuters, or similar platforms).
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
