Description
The Senior Advertising Manager, Paid Search will play an essential role in defining, managing, and communicating retail paid search strategies for large, complex clients across multiple retailers (including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Amazon, Target, and Kroger). While this role is primarily dedicated to Paid Search (sponsored product campaigns, keyword strategy, bid management, and performance optimizations), it also serves as a strategic advisor/consultant across programmatic display and paid social channels.
In addition to planning, executing, and reporting on search campaigns, this full-funnel leader is expected to consistently focus on client opportunities and threats. Day-to-day activities include hands-on execution of Paid Search campaigns (optimizations, keyword analysis, bid adjustments), strategic planning, and managing client/team relationships. This role is a balance between execution and strategy.
The Senior Advertising Manager will also inform internal client teams on important Paid Search strategies and best practices in retail media. The ideal candidate will work to make sense of the many moving pieces of the sponsored advertising ecosystem, translating them into actionable strategic choices.

Responsibilities
  • Inform strategy, planning, and own execution for clients’ Paid Search advertising campaigns
  • Build, maintain, and report on search campaigns aligned to client goals
  • Optimize and maintain campaigns, including analyzing current results to inform tactical changes
  • Collaborate across internal account teams, external client teams, and retailer media group stakeholders to maximize performance
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on holistic retail media strategies inclusive of search, programmatic display (e.g., AMZ DSP, DV360, TTD), and paid social (e.g., Meta)
  • Guide clients and teams through clear and concise communication, both written and verbal
  • Apply strategic thinking, adaptability, and insightful analysis to identify areas of opportunity and deliver optimized results
  • Provide weekly reporting with analysis and insights of prior week’s activity and campaign results-to-date
Requirements
  • 4–5+ years of experience managing retail Paid Search campaigns across retail media networks (ex. Amazon, Walmart Connect, Criteo, Instacart, or similar retail media networks)
  • Must have hands-on experience executing campaigns on Walmart or Amazon
  • Enjoys fast-paced, changing environment with evolving challenges
  • Strategic thinker capable of analyzing search performance data to refine campaign execution
  • Self-starter with a drive to innovate and improve processes and results
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and achieving consensus on goals and objectives
  • Ability to take ownership and work autonomously with little supervision
  • Strong multitasking skills with ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to connect small changes to larger performance outcomes
  • Ability to translate large amounts of performance data into concise and actionable takeaways
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at learning new advertising platforms and tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel
  • Willingness to travel
Preferred
  • Experience developing Paid Search advertising strategies across multiple retailers (e.g., Walmart, Sam’s Club, Amazon, Target, Kroger)
  • Experience with holistic strategy in account management or as a strategic advisor, inclusive of search, display (Amazon DSP, DV360, TTD), and social (ex. Meta)
  • 1–2 years of people management experience

We carefully consider a wide-ranging list of factors to determine compensation, including but not limited to level of job-related experience, knowledge, skills, location, etc. Base pay is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package.
The national hiring starting base salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000/annually. Additionally, this position is eligible to participate in our bonus program.
