Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Right of Way Agent Senior position is responsible for technical right of way work of upper level difficulty both in the office and in the field; supporting the ADOT Right of Way surveys, plans, appraisals, acquisition, condemnation and/or disposal programs by providing land title services and products; performing the related work as required per State and Federal statutes, regulations, standards and guidelines; assisting lower level agents and providing technical assistance that supports ADOT Right of Way’s ability to meet project schedules and the goals of the Department.
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (after working in the office full-time for the first 6 months ).

Job Duties:
Research, review and evaluate plans and documents related to the Right of Way surveys, existing Right of Way reports, plans, title reports, appraisals, acquisition, condemnation, disposals and excess land sale programs; Work with Project Teams to complete preparation of land title products and services of upper level difficulty, coordinate and work to resolve any special issues; assist lower level agents, maintain accurate and complete Right of Way and land title files. Mentor and train lower level agents.
Perform and review Resolution research, Disposal Reports, Title research, and any tasks of upper level difficulty required by Resolution Unit and Property Management section regarding acquisition, disposal and/or sale of real property and/or rights. Attend and participate in meetings and training as required and assigned. Drive a state vehicle in the course of performing required duties, including out of town travel and overnight lodging as needed.

Selective Preference(s):
Four or more years of experience in relevant area with increased responsibility over time, requiring at least two years specialized experience in area of assignment; A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field may substitute for two years of specialized experience.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Valid State of Arizona Driver's License - This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
