Senior AI Developer

We are looking for a Senior AI Developer who brings a blend of deep technical expertise and strong communication skills. This role goes beyond building — you will act as the technical anchor for the team, drive architecture decisions, lead presales engagements, and ensure the team delivers high-quality AI-powered products at scale.

Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Technical Leadership

• Design and own end-to-end AI/ML system architecture including data pipelines, model serving, and API layers
• Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and cloud services aligned with business goals
• Lead architectural review sessions and establish engineering best practices across the team
• Define coding standards, review frameworks, and CI/CD strategies for AI workflows
• Proactively identify technical debt and drive refactoring initiatives

Presales & Client Engagement

• Participate in presales calls as the technical spokesperson — clearly articulating AI product capabilities to non-technical stakeholders
• Prepare and deliver technical demos, solution walkthroughs, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) for prospective clients
• Translate complex AI/ML concepts into business value for client conversations
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to craft technical proposals and RFP responses
• Build credibility with clients through confident, accurate, and concise technical communication

Development & Engineering

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions including LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, and AI agents
• Write clean, scalable, well-documented code (Python, APIs, cloud-native services)
• Integrate AI capabilities with existing enterprise systems, third-party APIs, and SaaS platforms
• Build and maintain robust evaluation and monitoring frameworks for AI model performance
• Drive adoption of MLOps practices for model versioning, retraining, and deployment

Team Mentorship & Collaboration

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers — conduct code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Break down complex features into well-defined tasks; guide sprint planning with engineering estimates
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA to ensure seamless delivery
• Foster a culture of continuous learning by introducing new tools, papers, and techniques to the team
• Serve as the go-to technical escalation point within the team

Maintenance & Operations

• Own the reliability and performance of deployed AI systems in production
• Monitor model drift, system latency, and infrastructure health; respond to incidents proactively
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation — architecture diagrams, runbooks, and API specs
• Manage technical dependencies and coordinate upgrades with minimal disruption

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Expertise

• 4+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML
• Proficiency in Python; strong knowledge of frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, HuggingFace Transformers, or similar
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js — building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and real-time AI integrations
• Proficiency in React — developing interactive AI-powered frontends, dashboards, and chat/agent UIs
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, open-source models like LLaMA/Mistral)
• Experience building RAG systems, AI agents, and prompt engineering at production scale
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals: fine-tuning, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, pgvector)
• Cloud platform experience: AWS, GCP, or Azure — model deployment, serverless, and managed AI services
• REST API design and development; experience with FastAPI, Flask, Express.js, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines

Architecture & Design

• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, resilient distributed systems
• Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, and API gateway patterns
• Experience conducting system design reviews and architecture documentation

Communication & Soft Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication — ability to explain AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven experience in client-facing or presales technical roles is a strong plus
• Strong ownership mindset — takes end-to-end accountability for solutions delivered
• Collaborative, empathetic, and a natural mentor to junior team members

Nice to Have

• Experience with multimodal AI (vision, speech, or document AI)
• Familiarity with AI safety, responsible AI practices, and model evaluation frameworks
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published technical content
• Exposure to product-led growth (PLG) or SaaS startup environments
• Knowledge of data engineering tools — Airflow, dbt, Spark, or similar
