Responsibilities

* Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated artificial intelligence and machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and software developers, to identify opportunities for AI integration and to define project requirements.
* Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
* Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from data acquisition and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment in production environments.
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and deep learning, and champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
* Ensure the robustness, scalability, and performance of our AI systems, conducting rigorous testing and optimisation.
* Communicate complex technical concepts and project outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.
* Proven commercial experience in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered AI/ML projects.
* Expert proficiency in Python and extensive experience with major AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
* A deep theoretical and practical understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.
* Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deploying machine learning models at scale.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
