Role Overview

Bilstech is seeking a Senior AI Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems. This is a high-ownership role focused on transforming cutting-edge research into scalable, real-world solutions—particularly in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.

You will serve as a technical leader, working closely with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to architect reliable AI systems that deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End AI Ownership

• Lead the complete AI lifecycle from discovery and feasibility to production deployment and optimization
• Own architectural decisions for scalable AI systems

Advanced Model Engineering

• Design and optimize AI solutions including RAG pipelines, fine-tuned LLMs (LoRA, PEFT), and embedding-based search systems
• Build intelligent, autonomous AI agents

Production-Grade MLOps

• Develop and maintain ML pipelines using tools such as SageMaker, MLflow, or Vertex AI
• Ensure inference systems are cost-efficient, scalable, and highly available

System Performance & Optimization

• Implement acceleration techniques such as quantization, distillation, and GPU orchestration
• Optimize models for real-time use cases with sub-second latency

Client & Stakeholder Consulting

• Participate in client meetings to define scope, manage technical expectations, and propose AI-driven solutions
• Clearly communicate technical trade-offs and business value

Technical Leadership

• Mentor engineers and enforce high standards through code reviews
• Promote Responsible AI practices including security, bias mitigation, and compliance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Data Engineering and DevOps teams
• Integrate AI capabilities into broader microservices and production systems

Requirements

Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering
• Proven experience deploying models into production environments (beyond experimentation)

Core Technical Skills

• Expert-level Python
• Strong hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow

Generative AI & LLMs

• Practical experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, and embeddings
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs using QLoRA, PEFT, or similar techniques

Infrastructure & MLOps

• Experience with AWS or GCP
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for ML workloads

Distributed & High-Performance Systems

• Familiarity with GPU acceleration, parallel computing, and real-time data pipelines
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, or similar streaming technologies

Communication & Consulting

• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Customer-centric mindset when designing solutions

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related quantitative fieldTop of Form
