Senior AI Engineer

The Role

You'll serve as our transformation guide and mentor, working with our leadership and 2-3 internal champions to layer AI-augmented capabilities onto our existing Agile and SDLC practices. This is a teaching role, not a hands-on coding role.

Requirement: You'll need to understand our actual running projects—their architectures, technologies, team structures, and client constraints—then design a practical transformation plan that moves us from human-centric development to agentic engineering without disrupting delivery.

Technical Foundation (Required)

• 5+ years software development experience with production coding background

• 2+ years actively using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing agentic workflows (not just theory)

• Experience with multi-agent orchestration systems

• Strong grasp of both Agile methodologies and traditional SDLC

• Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern development practices

• Comfortable across multiple tech stacks (web, mobile, cloud)

Transformation Experience (Required)

• Led AI adoption at 2+ organizations with measurable results

• Experience transforming active/running projects (not just greenfield implementations)

• Experience designing phased migration paths from human to agentic development

• Critical: Experience integrating agentic workflows into existing Agile/Scrum practices

Project Assessment Skills (Critical)

• Ability to quickly analyze project portfolios and assess AI readiness

• Can design project-specific strategies (not one-size-fits-all approaches)

Communication & Approach (Critical)

• Can explain how agentic engineering augments (not replaces) human developers

• Writes clear documentation and playbooks

• Can present transformation plans to both technical teams and executive leadership

How We'll Measure Success

Quantitative:

• Pilot project achieves 30%+ productivity improvement over baseline human development

• Clear metrics showing progression: human baseline AI-assisted AI-augmented agentic

• Sprint velocity increases measurably without sacrificing quality

• Code quality maintained or improved (test coverage, defect rates)

• At least 2-3 internal champions confident to lead agentic transformation independently

• Successful integration of agentic tools into existing Jira/GitHub workflows

• Documented cost/benefit analysis for transforming other running projects

Qualitative:

• Clear transformation roadmap exists for our specific project portfolio

• Team understands how to evolve from human-centric to agentic workflows

• Leadership understands agentic capabilities and limitations

• Team can continue transformation of other projects without external help

• Agile ceremonies (planning, retros, reviews) effectively incorporate agentic capabilities
