Charterhouse is partnered with a global family office seeking to strengthen its Investment Technology Division. This division is responsible for developing analytical platforms, data-driven tools, and technology-enabled capabilities that support investment teams, operational functions, and enterprise wide strategic decision making. With a remit that spans across Data Science, Engineering, Quantitative Research, and Product Development, the division plays a pivotal role in evolving the organisation’s digital and analytical landscape. This current opening is for a Senior AI Scientist who will be a key contributor to the organisation’s data and product initiatives.

The Senior AI Scientist will help lead data driven initiatives, guiding the design and execution of data workflows that meet strategic business objectives. The role focuses on providing technical leadership across data analysis, developing resilient pipelines for model training, tracking model performance, and managing data platforms. The role will have strong expertise in leveraging LLMs and applying prompt engineering techniques to elevate insights and improve model outcomes.

Our client is looking for ideal candidate with the following qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience working with LLM technologies, including pre-training, supervised fine-tuning (SFT), reinforcement learning (RL), and agent-based frameworks.
• Solid understanding of natural language processing (NLP) methods and algorithms.
• Industry experience in sectors such as healthcare, finance, or e‑commerce is an advantage.
• Contributions to open‑source projects, academic research, or relevant publications that showcase technical expertise and thought leadership are highly regarded.
• Hands‑on experience fine‑tuning and deploying LLMs, with an emphasis on optimizing models for specific applications.
• Proficiency with AI development frameworks such as PyTorch, DeepSpeed, and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Strong capabilities in prompt engineering and enhancing LLM performance through algorithmic improvements.
• Proven problem‑solving skills, particularly in applying LLMs to real‑world use cases.
• Ability to excel in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment and deliver meaningful AI-driven outcomes.
• Excellent English communication skills are essential.
