Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented AM / Sr. AM – Imports & Tariff to manage customs clearance and tariff-related operations across the United States, Canada, and European Union markets.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify import documentation to ensure accuracy of HS Codes, Duty Rates, product descriptions, and tariff classifications.
- Monitor container ETAs and proactively notify relevant teams to align operational planning.
- Coordinate with customs brokers in respective markets to ensure timely shipment clearance.
- Liaise with freight forwarders for shipment planning and smooth execution.
- Ensure accurate communication of regulatory requirements and documentation details across teams.
- Track and manage daily import-related tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct research related to customs regulations, tariff structures, and compliance updates.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in documentation or clearance processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- 2- 5 years of experience in imports, customs clearance, tariff management (US/Canada/EU exposure preferred).
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and tariff classifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive operations.
