What you'll do:

The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in advancing the organization’s data governance strategy and ensuring high quality, reliable data across business lines. This role emphasizes developing and maintaining governance frameworks, supporting enterprise data quality initiatives, validating data integrity, and strengthening the linkage between business processes and governed data. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, experience with data validation, and the ability to translate governance requirements into actionable tasks for business and technology teams.

The candidate will work on reviewing Business Required Documents, creating test cases, executing test cases, identifying defects, and working with technology teams to remediate defects.
Development of business requirements, as needed for Regulatory Reporting, specifically to incorporate changes as required by FRB regulations.
Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting, preferably experience including call reporting, Y14, Y15, and 2052a.
Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring consistency, accountability, and alignment with organizational strategy.
Manage and participate in workshops to flesh out and problem solve certain requirements, defects, or questions.
Consult with members of the US Treasury Reporting and Analytics team for their subject matter expertise on systems and BNS specific data.
Lead the design, build, and maintenance of advanced dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key business performance metrics.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to inform business strategy and operational improvements.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis to help drive business decisions.
Work closely with business units to understand reporting and analytical needs.
Translate business questions into analytical tasks and provide solutions that drive strategic decisions.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
Design and implement systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability by performing thorough validation and quality checks.
Collaborate with IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and improve data accessibility.
Ability to query data in Azure SQL based databases.
Provide input into Technology’s deliverables to ensure the Technology’s implementation success.
Engage with Enterprise Data Governance with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) work to validate build of data stores are capturing source data feeds accurately for consumption.
May help train other junior members of the team.

What you'll need:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or another related field required. Master’s degree in relevant field is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with increasing responsibility in regulatory compliance or other areas at a bank, relevant internal audit experience, capital, and liquidity and/or public accounting advisory experience required.
Working knowledge of Reg YY and other related regulations or strong willingness to spend significant effort learning (e.g. FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15).
Strong knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large, complex data sets.
Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Experience with predictive modeling, statistical analysis, or machine learning is a plus.
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
Intermediate experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Intermediate experience presenting findings from large datasets in a clear, actionable way.
Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
