Senior Analyst General Ledger (Qatarization)

We are currently hiring for a qualified accountant for the role of Senior Analyst - General Ledger who will utilize technical accounting expertise to ensure that Qatari Diar’s business transactions are accounted and reconciled as per process.

• The role is for Qatarization.
• He/ she should be a qualified accountant - ACCA/ CPA Qualified along with bachelor's degree in accounting and/ or Finance.
• Should have min. 5 years of experience in either General ledger accounting or in preparation of financial statements as per IFRS.
• He/ she should have excellent Excel skills and worked on ERP.

Roles & Responsibilities:

General Ledger:

1. Preparing monthly journal entries such as cash, payroll, benefits, expense allocations, and revenue.
2. Preparing monthly journal vouchers for accruals, provisions, and manual entries from non-integrated IT systems.
3. Reviewing monthly balance sheets and financial statements.
4. Overseeing generation and review of trial balance, including accounts’ analysis.
5. Assisting with financial audits and potential tax return (if applicable)
6. Ensuring that accounts are maintained in compliance with IFRS including transactions related to land bank, government grants, and revenue recognition.
7. Validating cost allocation and valuation.

Accounts Balance Reconciliation:

1. Completing reconciliation of account balances assigned and ensure that the balances are properly supported.
2. Ensuring accurate finalization of monthly accounts closing process.
3. Overseeing GL activities.
