Senior Analyst, People Analytics

United States - Remote

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, People Analytics who is passionate about data and eager to uncover people-related insights that inform business strategy. In this position, you will contribute to the integration of analytics into our daily operations—from routine reporting to strategic insights through ad hoc reporting, dashboards and trends. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely across the People, M+A, enablement, and readiness teams while working closely with our People and Enablement Leadership Team to ensure our people analytics are aligned, available, and actionable.

This key role will be a key player in the integration of generative AI tools into our analytics ecosystem—enabling faster, smarter, and more scalable insights. You’ll leverage AI-driven solutions to automate reporting, uncover hidden trends, and deliver data-driven recommendations that shape our people strategy. Our vision provides predictive analytics on all of our people, readiness and operations data for our employees and leaders to make data based decisions. No more waiting for reports, analyzing tons of data with no outcome nor accurate story line to understand reality and to be able to provide targeted actions where necessary.
Job Description
What You'll Do
    Design and manage dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs using Excel, Google Sheets, and various business intelligence tools to advance People and Enablement initiatives.
    Examine large, complex HR datasets to spot significant trends and insights related to hiring, engagement, performance, retention, diversity, inclusion, and learning outcomes in a predictive way, static data is in the past…
    Create and sustain interactive people dashboards and reports focused on key people and operations metrics linking to other key data within our company and outside to have an outside in look at how we deliver.
    Partner closely with Business Technology teams to develop a strategic roadmap for enhancing data capabilities in Snowflake, Thoughtspot, and Workday dashboards, including leveraging AI-driven opportunities.
    Collaborate with People Team Leadership and Finance to prepare materials for Board meetings and company-wide projects.
    Deliver quarterly and annual Organizational Health insights that showcase the health of our global talent for leaders and employees.
    Partner with HR and business leaders to understand data needs and deliver impactful analytics
    Translate complex data into clear, compelling stories for a variety of audiences
    Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency through automation and innovation
    Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed with full access
    Stay current on best practices in people analytics and data visualization

What You’ll Bring
    Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Human Resources, Business, Statistics, or similar) or equivalent work experience
    5 years of proven experience building dashboards and visualizations in an HR or People Analytics context
    5 years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Thoughtspot, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
    Strong knowledge of People-related data and processes across the employee lifecycle (recruitment, development, workforce planning, employee feedback, organizational impact and spans & layers analysis to keep our structures streamlined.).
    Hands-on experience with the Workday HCM suite, including Workday Recruiting, Learning and Peakon.
    Expert-level in using and optimizing analytics and reporting tools, including advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization platforms.
    Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
    Ability to decipher key outcomes of the data and build the recommendation and solutions from the data to address business and people needs by understanding the business and priorities of our employees and leaders.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Excellent communication and writing skills to promote accurate outcomes/impact, with the ability to translate data into storytelling for executive audiences
    Demonstrated curiosity and openness toward emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence
    Proactively seeks opportunities to evolve work through AI tools and data-driven insights
What Could be Helpful to Have
    Experience with capacity planning and modeling
    Previous experience implementing analytics platforms
    Proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python for data analysis
    Loves data, enjoy finding the real story and is an artist when articulating the message and outcomes visually with data and impact.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000 - $176,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
