Senior Analyst, Sponsorship Budget & Operations

The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. The Global Brand Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing team sits within GABM and leads 40+ partnerships globally, delivering best-in-class ticket access, live event and digital engagement platforms across Card Member and Prospect passion points of sports, music, theater and various other cultural interests.

Sponsorship Measurement & Investment Management Team

The sponsorship measurement & investment management team supports the full Global Brand Sponsorships & Experiential (GBSE) team in measuring the efficacy of its events and partnerships and effectively managing a large-scale budget and ensuring strategic financial decisions are made for the future. The GBSE portfolio spans sports, music, and entertainment, including F1, NBA, USTA, Brighton, global music festivals (Coachella, BST Hyde Park), the Amex Venue Collection TM , top music artists, among others.

The budget & operations role is the day-to-day contact for all vertical (e.g., F1, NBA, etc.) budget owners as well as the GABM Financial Planning team. This role will play an integral role in setting the investment strategy in support of the Director. They are also charged with enabling our creative assets via a compliant marketing approval process.


  • Proactive, resourceful self-starter with a positive, “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset and a demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges through analytical rigor and creative problem-solving.
  • Keen attention to detail coupled with the ability to understand financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet tight timelines, and operate effectively under changing and challenging conditions.
  • Excellent communication, with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Collaborative partner with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills; able to build relationships across functions, align stakeholders, and communicate effectively with audiences at all levels and functions across the organization.
  • Great attitude with strong willingness to learn, who brings positive energy to the team.
  • 2-3 years of finance, measurement, or insights experience preferred.
