SENIOR ARCHITECT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design

• Support the successful delivery of projects through strong design leadership and technical input across all project stages.
• Manage team outputs, coordinating with leads to maintain quality standards and resource efficiency.
• Lead the development of Concept, Schematic, and Detailed Design packages, ensuring alignment with project vision and regulations.
• Review and develop architectural details and material specifications to uphold technical quality and design integrity.
• Coordinate internally and with external sub-consultants to meet project needs.
• Liaise directly with clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Meet project milestones and financial targets by delivering timely design packages and maintaining quality standards.
• Act as the link between the Design and Construction teams, offering technical advice when required.
• Raise major issues, share concerns, and provide weekly reports on project progress to the relevant director.
• Present and submit deliverables to the relevant director for review and approval.
• Flag potential resource or design support needs to the project manager to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Contribute to the evolution of the firm s design standards by proposing improvements based on project experience and best practices.

BIM

• Develop and review BIM models for accuracy, coordination, and compliance with project requirements and office standards.
• Ensure design information is modelled correctly and aligns with the agreed LOD (Level of Development) at each project phase.
• Lead the integration of architectural BIM content with multidisciplinary models to detect and resolve coordination issues.
• Collaborate with the BIM Manager to implement efficient modelling practices and contribute to BIM execution planning.
• Mentor junior staff in using BIM tools effectively for design development, detailing, and documentation.
• Participate in model audits and reviews, ensuring adherence to naming conventions, templates, and data standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master s degree or equivalent in Architecture
• 10+ years of experience in an international environment
• Proven knowledge of large-scale, complex (mixed-use) technical coordination
• Familiarity with all phases of design and construction
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Working knowledge of Rhinoceros, Enscape, Grasshopper and V-Ray are welcome additions.
