Senior Architect – Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead and manage high-profile architectural projects from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in consultancy, advanced proficiency in Revit, CAD and BIM, and a deep understanding of UAE building codes and authority submission processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead architectural teams in delivering complex projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
• Design Development: Oversee all design phases, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
• BIM Management: Utilize Revit and BIM 360 for model development, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Consultant Coordination: Manage and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (structural, MEP, etc.) to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Authority Liaison: Navigate local authority submission processes, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality and other relevant bodies.
• Quality Assurance: Review and approve design documentation, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
• Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Client Engagement: Maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years' experience in architectural design and consultancy, with at least 5 years based in the UAE.

Skills

• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• BIM Expertise: Experience in managing BIM workflows, including model development, clash detection, and coordination across disciplines.
• Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project planning and management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UAE building codes, sustainability standards, and authority submission procedures.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
