Senior Architect Engineer

Job Description:

The Senior Architect Engineer ensures that the overall Architectural and Finishing requirements are carried out to the highest standards by monitoring, reviewing, and amending both technical drawings and actual work.

Responsibilities:

• Review the contract documents, bills of quantities, plans, and specifications before the start of the project and submit a report on his observations thereon
• Reviewing, approving, and making comparative tables for the materials submitted with the specifications of the project and recommending accreditation and not accreditation unless there is official authorization from the owner to accredit
• Reviewing the inventory and approval of special quantities, excess works, savings, and extracts, each in his field of specialization, as well as reviewing and approving what is limited by the quantity calculator
• Give accurate directions to the observer on how to follow up and monitor all the work assigned to the controller, which is the core of his duties for all stages of the project,t and follow up the performance of the observer on site for all tasks entrusted to the controller
• The engineer shall abide by the period specified in the contract to review the drawings or approve the materials and any other work submitted by the contractor
• Ensures that the project is as per the setting out plan
• Ensure that the progress at the site is as per the approved schedule.
• Inspect work done, samples, materials, and workmanship, ensuring compliance with project documents.
• Follow up and supervise all the inspection requests.
• Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications, ITP, and method of statement
• Day-to-day supervision of the site, including supervising and monitoring the progress and manpower.
• Overseeing quality control, health, and safety matters on site; and ensuring that construction is performed as per the safety plan
• Coordination between structural, and MEP
• Ensuring that the Contractor performs his work in a manner that does not cause unnecessary or improper interference to the public, including access to public or private roads and footpaths.
• Investigating site conditions to determine any kind of obstacles to the proposed construction during work progress
• Coordinating for testing of materials, processes, or systems related to engineering works.
• Assisting all inspection procedures with site inspectors.
• Preparing reports on work progress concerning project schedules and resources.
• Create plans and drawings that clearly outline the architectural design of the project.
• Utilize knowledge of engineering, math, science, and materials in order to create an ideal finished product.
• Conduct site evaluations to ensure quality of work and adherence to safety standards
• Oversee and make recommendations throughout the entire construction process.
• Collaborate with various teams in order to establish goals, schedules, and budgets

Core Qualifications and Responsibilities Required for the Position:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or higher.
• Proficiency in the English Language.
• 12+ years in preferably Consultancy Projects (Supervision).
• Strong organizational, creative, and presentation skills
• He should have proven experience in BIM and Revit.
• Well-knowledgeable of SBC & relative authorities' requirements.
• He shall be responsible for reviewing and approving the related items mentioned in the monthly invoices received from the contractors.
• He shall coordinate with all disciplines before the final approval.
• He shall coordinate between all the assigned contractors.
