Senior Architect – Renovation & Fit-Out

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Architect with at least 3 years of UAE experience in renovation and fit-out projects. This role is hands-on and site-focused. You will supervise construction sites, produce architectural/design drawings, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and directly manage clients from concept to handover.

This is not a desk-only role. If you are not comfortable with site pressure, client discussions, or problem-solving on the ground, this position is not for you.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Supervision & Execution

• Supervise renovation and fit-out works on multiple sites
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and UAE regulations
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Identify issues on site and resolve them quickly without delays
• Ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery of projects

Design & Technical

• Prepare architectural drawings for renovation projects
• Coordinate architectural drawings with MEP, joinery, and specialist details
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and samples
• Provide design solutions suitable for renovation constraints
• 3D design capability is a strong advantage (not mandatory)

Client Management

• Act as the main architectural point of contact for clients
• Attend client meetings, site meetings, and inspections
• Explain designs, construction methods, and site progress clearly to clients
• Manage client expectations while protecting project scope, quality, and timelines
• Handle variations and design changes professionally

Coordination & Authority

• Coordinate with authorities when required (Dubai Municipality, developers, consultants)
• Ensure approvals and compliance relevant to renovation works
• Support management in reporting progress and issues

RequirementsMandatory

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience (renovation / fit-out experience is essential)
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices and site conditions
• Proven experience in site supervision
• Ability to deal directly with clients confidently
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Strong communication skills in English

Preferred / Advantage

• Experience in high-end residential or commercial renovations
• 3D software skills (SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar)
• Knowledge of joinery, finishes, and fit-out details
• Valid UAE driving license
