Senior Architectural Engineer - Engineering

1. JOB DETAILS

DEPARTMENT: Technical Department.

SECTION: Engineering.

TEAM: Architectural.

REPORTS TO:

Senior Architectural Engineer.

LIAISE/COOPERATE WITH: Engineers for all disciplines / Draftsman .

2. JOB PURPOSE / ROLE: Evaluates architectural systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of architectural and materials. Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties, building codes, safety .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities:-

1-Discuss thoroughly all the progress of the project with the Head of Department.

2- Lead Architectural Engineers.

3- Project Management and prepare updated tracking reports.

4- Presentation on weekly basis for the assigned projects.

5- Full knowledge to evaluate the: Design, tender package, Boq , reports, Etc.

6- Find and prepare solutions.

7- Supervise all the Architectural & Draftsmen under his team.

8- Study and apply all of the principles, standards, codes (SBC & others) and proper practice.

9- Review all documents which are connected to the project.

10- Keep in sight of all assigned projects, making sure that all is in the track.

11- Provides technical support to their subordinates, preparing calculation and report.

12- Reviewing and Making sure that the quality of all the technical submittals (shop drawings, Materials, etc..) is based on the AlBawani Drafting Guidelines & Shop Drawing Checklist.

13- Ensure that all RFC's (request for clarification) are implemented on the Shop Drawings / BIM Model.

14- Ensure all the model element to be as per latest approved materials/ contracts documents

Sending RFC (Request for Clarification) to the consultant.

15- Following up the Consultant’s approvals and sharing with him any workshops and technical discussion and Meetings along with any third party or specialist till completion of engineering works.

16- Excellent knowledge for technical coordination between all the project parties.

17- Prepare reports, designs, Calculations as per codes & standards and review shop drawings.

18- Review Design reports, Models, Calculations and drawings and prepare comments and findings report for any deficiencies, and propose practical solutions to facilitate construction works and finalize design issues with project designer before shop drawings stage.

19- Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately as per project requirements.

20- Provide technical advice and support for construction team to facilitate consultant and client approvals.

21- Prepare MRs for the assigned scope of works based on project documents & References and coordinate with procurement dept. till release P.O.

22- Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval.

23- Liaise with professional staff such as Structural and MEP engineers.

24- Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes.

25- From time to time, you may be required to carry out additional duties relevant to your role which will be determined at that time by AL BAWANI and/or your direct report .

Minimum Requirements:

• Enrolment in SCE “Saudi Council of Engineers" is (essential).
• Experience in Architectural Design program software:
• Modelling 3D Programs REVIT, NAVISWORK, AUTOCAD (essential).
• 3D max, Lumion, SketchUp & V-Ray (Knowledge is preferred).
• Knowledge of Project Management.
• Knowledge of Relevant Systems.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.
• Three-dimensional conceptual skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

3. EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Bachelor's Degree in Architectural engineering or related field is (essential).

DESIRED EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Experience as Architectural Engineer in engineering company, construction

or consultant.

MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR JOB ROLE

10+ years’ experience in similar position

LANGUAGES REQUIRED:

English: Advanced.
