ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY JOB SUMMARY


Flores Ryan, LLP specializes in handling construction transactions and litigation for the entire construction industry. We opened our doors in 2021 with an emphasis on construction law and the use of technology to augment every aspect of our practice. We are a close-knit team constantly striving to improve the services we deliver to our clients. Our offices are fully remote.


The firm has an immediate opening for a Senior Associate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation who is looking to assume immediate file handling responsibilities and continue to grow in their career. The Senior Associate will have ample opportunity to participate in construction mediations, arbitrations, and bench and jury trials. Construction litigation experience is preferred but not required. Note, this is not an insurance defense construction defect position. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, reliable, and can assume responsibility working as an integral part of a collaborative team as well as independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


Associates are given meaningful, hands-on legal work at every stage of their careers. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a track record of insightful research and persuasive writing abilities. We are looking for candidates who can assume immediate responsibility and are willing to work as an integral part of a collaborative team. Must also have ability and desire to provide excellent work product that reflects strong research, writing, and analytical skills as well as drafting pleadings. Responsibilities will include appearing in court, drafting motions, document summary, taking depositions, assisting with trials and arbitrations, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• JD from an accredited law school

• Licensed to practice law in California

• 5 to 10 years of experience in civil litigation (construction litigation preferred but not required)

• State court experience (Federal court experience preferred but not necessary)

• Fully remote position

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills and deadline-conscious

• Leader, self-motivator

• Experience working with Clio preferred but not required

• Annual salary: $170,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience, full-time

• 10 days paid time off after 90 day probation period
