Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned engineer for automation engineering, designing and developing automation workflows across Oaktree's business domains. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating with enterprise systems to streamline processes and embed AI for intelligent document handling and decision support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RPA platforms, agentic AI tools, and workflow automation frameworks. They will be able to translate business requirements into technical automation solutions and collaborate with process owners and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities include
  • Design, build, and maintain automation workflows across finance, compliance, trading, HR, and operations using UiPath, Scribe, N8n, and related tools
  • Translate business requirements into technical automation solutions
  • Develop reusable automation components, including bots, connectors, scripts, and APIs
  • Integrate automation into enterprise systems, including Workday, Salesforce, OMS/Everest, Geneva, Treasury/Finance, Compliance tools, and data platforms
  • Embed AI into automations, using GenAI and agentic AI to handle unstructured data and intelligent decisioning
  • Test, deploy, and monitor automations to ensure accuracy, reliability, security, and compliance with audit requirements
  • Document workflows, logic, and architecture to support long-term maintainability and knowledge transfer
  • Continuously improve and optimize automations by gathering user feedback, monitoring KPIs, and enhancing scalability
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on RPA, agentic AI, and workflow automation
  • Hands-on expertise with RPA platforms, including UiPath, Scribe, and Automation Anywhere
  • Practical experience with agentic AI tools and workflow automation frameworks, including N8n, LangChain, and Copilot Studio
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, including Python, .NET, JavaScript, SQL, or equivalent
  • Strong API and integration skills, with ability to design and implement service-layer connections between enterprise applications and data platforms
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation, including BPMN, Visio, or Lucidchart
  • Knowledge of data handling and security practices, including encryption, identity management, and access controls
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps for automation, including version control, automated testing, and deployment pipelines
  • Problem-solving mindset and collaboration skills, with ability to work closely with business teams and senior architects
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database, Azure Fabric, and Azure Lakehouse
  • Knowledge of alternative asset management industry trends and regulatory requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.) preferred
