As the newest addition to the Trimont group, TriVinna introduces a modern loan servicing software platform that streamlines operations, increases transparency, and provides clients and partners with actionable insights. Leveraging Trimont's access to approximately 11% of all U.S. commercial real estate lending data, TriVinna integrates market-leading analytics, robust portfolio management tools, and a high-touch customer support model. This comprehensive approach enables clients to make informed decisions, manage risk effectively, and achieve greater efficiency and performance in commercial real estate loan servicing.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure powering our commercial real estate loan servicing platform. You will be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, implementing data integration solutions, and ensuring reliable data flows that enable analytics and business intelligence. This role is critical to transforming raw loan data into actionable insights that drive business decisions across billions of dollars in managed assets.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development

  • Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for loan data processing
  • Develop real-time and batch data ingestion solutions from multiple sources
  • Implement data transformation logic for loan servicing workflows
  • Build automated data quality validation and monitoring frameworks
  • Create and maintain data pipeline orchestration using workflow tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
  • Optimize pipeline performance for handling large-scale financial datasets

Data Architecture and Modeling

  • Design and implement data warehouse schemas (star, snowflake) for analytics
  • Develop dimensional models for loan portfolio reporting and analysis
  • Create and maintain data catalogs and metadata management solutions
  • Implement data lineage tracking for regulatory compliance
  • Design APIs and services for data access and integration
  • Establish data modeling standards and best practices

Data Integration and Processing

  • Integrate data from diverse sources including third-party vendors, APIs, and internal systems
  • Develop data connectors and adapters for loan servicing data sources
  • Implement change data capture (CDC) mechanisms for incremental processing
  • Build streaming data solutions for real-time loan event processing
  • Manage data lake storage and organization strategies
  • Ensure data consistency across operational and analytical systems

Data Quality and Governance

  • Implement data validation rules and quality monitoring dashboards
  • Develop automated data cleansing and enrichment processes
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
  • Implement data masking and anonymization for sensitive financial data
  • Support audit requirements with comprehensive data lineage documentation
  • Establish and maintain data quality SLAs

Collaboration and Support

  • Partner with Data Scientists to build feature engineering pipelines
  • Work with Database Administrators on data infrastructure optimization
  • Support Business Intelligence teams with data marts and reporting datasets
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams on application data requirements
  • Document data architectures, pipelines, and operational procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
  • Expert proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks)
  • Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools and workflow orchestration (Airflow, dbt, or similar)
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional design
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with real-time streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of data governance and metadata management tools
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA)
  • Experience with machine learning feature stores and ML pipelines
