As a Senior Associate, you will be playing a key role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance within public sector entities. This involves conducting independent audits in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), evaluating financial statements, and assessing internal controls. The auditor works closely with government bodies and public institutions to verify financial accuracy, support the transition to accrual-based accounting, and ensure alignment with UAE regulatory frameworks.

As a Senior Associate some of your responsibilities will include:

• Perform external audits for public sector entities in compliance with IPSAS and UAE regulations.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared using accrual-based accounting standards.
• Assess internal control systems and recommend improvements.
• Verify compliance with UAE laws, Ministry of Finance guidelines, and international accounting standards.
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present detailed audit reports to stakeholders and audit committees.
• Support entities in transitioning from cash-based to accrual-based accounting under IPSAS.
• Collaborate with finance departments, regulators, and consultants to meet audit objectives.
• Stay updated on IPSAS developments and contribute to audit methodology improvements.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• IPSAS certification (e.g., ACCA Certificate in IPSAS) is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of external audit experience in the big 10 with IPSAS exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IPSAS, IFRS, and UAE financial regulations.
• Proficiency in audit software and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Ability to manage multiple audits and meet deadlines.
