Senior Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis

The FP&A Manager will play a pivotal role in transforming financial data into strategic insight, supporting decision-making across ADSS. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial planning skills with deep data analytics and visualization capability — particularly within Microsoft Power BI, and advanced Excel — to design performance dashboards, automate reporting, and provide real-time visibility into business performance.

The role requires an analytical thinker with a strong understanding of financial drivers and the ability to connect operational data with business outcomes. Experience in brokerage or financial services is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and medium-term plans in collaboration with front-office, operations, and finance teams.
• Develop and maintain financial models reflecting revenue, cost, and capital assumptions.
• Analyse business drivers such as trading activity, client acquisition, spreads, and cost of funding to identify performance trends.
• Provide actionable insights on profitability, efficiency, and growth opportunities.

Data Analytics & Visualisation

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI integrating data from Oracle, trading systems, and data warehouses.
• Ensure integrity and reconciliation of financial and operational data.
• Automate manual processes to improve reporting timeliness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with IT and Operations to enhance data integration and structure.

Performance Management

• Track and report key performance metrics — revenue by product, active clients, margin utilization, PB funding costs, and cost-to-income ratios.
• Conduct variance analysis vs. budget and prior periods, identifying underlying business drivers.
• Support senior management and ExCom with performance packs, commentary, and presentation materials.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with Finance, Risk, and Operations to ensure analysis is consistent with the firm’s strategic and capital objectives.
• Support CFO and Financial Controller in building a data-driven FP&A framework.
• Mentor junior analysts and support continuous improvement within the finance function.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified
• Qualified accountant or finance professional (ACCA / CFA / CPA / CA) preferred.
• 6–8 years of experience in FP&A, financial modelling, or business analytics.
• Experience in brokerage, trading, or financial services preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong command of Power BI, Excel (advanced modelling, Power Query), and familiarity with SQL or data warehouse environments.
• Working knowledge of Oracle ERP or equivalent systems.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving mindset.
• Detail-oriented with ability to see the broader business picture.
• Confident communicator able to present complex insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, data-driven, and focused on improving processes through technology.
