Position Title: Senior Associate – Marketing Procurement

Location: Dubai



Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for executing category management and strategic sourcing activities for business requirements. This includes performing spend analysis, market intelligence studies, cost-benefit/value analysis, contract development, and supplier relationship management for critical suppliers.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

Execution Excellence & Adherence

  • Adhere to processes, guidelines, and protocols for all category management activities in line with set standards
  • Align category management activities with procurement requirements of business stakeholders
  • Prepare reports to monitor key performance indicators, highlight gaps, and recommend mitigation actions
  • Support the Category Manager with improvement initiatives within strategic procurement workflows
  • Act as the first point of contact for category management and strategic sourcing queries
  • Support Category Managers with escalations and exception cases


Strategic Sourcing Management

  • Execute strategic sourcing activities across all types of strategic spend
  • Conduct assessments to identify sourcing constraints, supply risks, and mitigation plans
  • Interface with suppliers throughout the contract lifecycle (initiation, evaluation, selection, renewal, termination)
  • Provide inputs for special projects aimed at enhancing service levels, minimizing costs, reducing contractual risks, and improving compliance


Spend Analysis & Cost Savings

  • Conduct spend analysis to identify procurement trends and present insights and recommendations
  • Execute cost-saving initiatives based on improvement opportunities identified by the Category Manager
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to determine demand and project pipelines
  • Perform cost-benefit/value analysis for proposed projects and share recommendations
  • Execute category procurement spend in line with annual budgets and cost-saving targets


Market Intelligence & Analysis

  • Perform market intelligence studies based on guidance from the Category Manager
  • Analyse market benchmarks to identify trends, pricing, supplier capabilities, and risks
  • Support leadership in incorporating market intelligence into category strategies


Category Strategy Development & Management

  • Consolidate inputs from spend analysis and market intelligence to support category and supplier strategies
  • Monitor and follow up with internal stakeholders to drive category management initiatives
  • Compile and prioritize sourcing projects and savings goals
  • Upload strategic sourcing projects into the project management tool
  • Track performance and publish reports on category management and strategic sourcing activities


Supplier Relationship Management

  • Adhere to supplier relationship management guidelines including vendor segmentation and risk management
  • Provide inputs on supplier evaluation and selection
  • Work closely with strategic suppliers to ensure alignment with SRM guidelines
  • Prepare supplier assessment reports and support corrective actions when required
  • Act as the primary interface for strategic suppliers to address challenges and issues


Self-Management

  • Meet individual objectives aligned with procurement goals
  • Complete assigned upskilling and development initiatives and apply learnings
  • Promote a customer-centric culture, innovation, and high-performance mindset

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Additional certifications (CIPS, Project Management, etc.) preferred


Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in a procurement function
  • Project management experience including planning and delivery
  • Strong understanding of contracts and legal terminology
  • Experience in procurement shared services preferred
  • Middle East experience preferred
