Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for the functioning of all work related to Imports letter of Credit.
Key Accountabilities

Process all day-to-day activities related to the Import letters of Credit.

Process issuance of letters of Credit, amendments, correspondences, Insurance entries, expiries, cancellations and maintenance of relevant records.

Institutional Operations Accurate LC commission, acceptance commissions and all other charges related to imports applied and amount amortized as per bank amortization policy.

EOD report reconciliation.

Routing of swifts through swift alliance

Updating of reports for timely circulation

Aborted transaction report check

TI interface report check
-
Document movement in Documentum
-
Check all the swift queues for rejected swifts at EOD.

Filing and despatching of LCs i.e., customer copies, insurance co. letters, swift copies etc.

Follows up for awaiting approval transactions.

Reconciliation and clearing of suspense entries.

Month end balancing.

Arrange for the appropriate referral, if any, in line with the stipulated DOA.

Attend customers’ calls and emails inquiries about Import letters of Credit.

Ensure timely dispatch of Imports related instruments and advice to customers/banks as applicable.

Reconcile relevant Nostro accounts.
-
Prepare Imports folders and further supervise the related filing and archiving as appropriate.

AML/KYC guidelines adherence in team.
Qualifications, Experience
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Required Experience
-
3 to 5 years of banking experience is required.

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.

Ability to interact with internal business units and external customers in a multi-cultural environment.

Ability to work under pressure.
-
Computer and MS office skills.
-
Fluent English is required.
-
Arabic language is a plus
-
Knowledge of banking processes and back-office support is a plus.
-
Knowledge of the banking sector in Qatar and the region is a plus.
