Senior Audio-Video Presales and Design Engineer

Role Definition

The Senior Audio-Video Presales & Design Engineer is responsible for owning the complete audio-video technical solution lifecycle. From requirement understanding to system architecture, BOQ preparation, technical proposals and presales presentations.

This role sits between Sales and Project Execution and directly influences project wins and technical credibility.

You will take charge of solution design and presales strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & System Architecture

· Understand client requirements and convert them into complete AV system designs

· Develop System block diagrams, Signal flow diagrams, Schematic layouts, Device integration logic, CAD layouts.

BOQ & Costing Ownership

· Prepare detailed BOQs with accurate product selection

· Ensure Technical compliance, Commercial competitiveness, Margin alignment.

· Work closely with procurement for pricing validation

· Support value engineering without compromising system performance

Presales & Client Interaction

• Present solutions to clients, consultants and PMCs
• Defend technical designs during review meetings
• Provide technical clarifications during negotiation stages
• Support Sales in closing technically complex opportunities

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• 6–10 years’ experience in AV system design and presales
• Proven experience designing mid to large scale AV projects

Strong expertise in:

• Control systems (Crestron / Extron / AMX)
• DSP platforms (Q-SYS / Biamp / BSS)
• Audio system design
• Video distribution systems
• AVoIP concepts
• Strong proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• Visio / system diagram tools
• BOQ preparation in Excel
• Ability to independently handle complete presales cycle

Strong Advantages

• CTS, RCDD certification (or equivalent AV certifications)
• CCNA, CCNP, Comptia+ certification
• Experience in government / institutional tenders
• Experience working with consultants and large EPCs
• Exposure to acoustics integration and lighting control

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
