We at Brilyant are hiring for a Senior AV Design Engineer (CTS-D) to lead the design, engineering, and documentation of complex, integrated audiovisual systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in AV architecture, deep knowledge of AVIXA/CTS-D standards, and a passion for creating scalable, high-quality designs that drive seamless installations.

Preferred Location: Bangalore
Preferred Experience: 7+ years in AV system design and engineering for commercial integration projects.
Preferred Certifications:

• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D) (current and in good standing)

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience designing enterprise-grade AV systems (control rooms, large meeting spaces, or distributed AV environments).
• Proven expertise in AV system design, documentation, and project coordination.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or Visio for schematic creation; experience with Revit/BIM preferred.
• Deep understanding of audio physics, video standards (4K, HDBaseT, AV-over-IP), and control system theory.
• Experience working with enterprise IT and network teams on AV integration.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and technical documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects while maintaining attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on identifying design conflicts early in the process.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery sessions to capture technical and functional AV requirements.
• Develop complete system architectures ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with AVIXA/CTS-D standards.
• Produce detailed engineering documentation including schematics, rack layouts, signal flow diagrams, and elevation drawings.
• Collaborate closely with architects, IT, and electrical teams to coordinate infrastructure requirements.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assist sales teams with accurate, cost-effective proposals.
• Conduct design reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support the sales and project teams with technical presentations and design validation.

Requirement

• 4 – 5 years of relevant experience in presales, technical consulting, or solution engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Apple ecosystem (macOS, iOS/iPadOS), Apple Business Manager, and MDM platforms. Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Autopilot.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise deployment models.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build trust with IT stakeholders, decision-makers, and educators.
• Comfortable with field travel and customer-facing engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with enterprise customers to understand business challenges and present tailored based solutions.
• Conduct on-site discovery meetings, technical workshops, and solution presentations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor during customer evaluations and pilot deployments.
• Design and propose Apple deployment architectures (macOS, iPadOS, iOS) tailored to customer environments.
• Prepare and deliver compelling demos, PoCs, and solution walkthroughs.
• Support the sales team with RFPs, solution briefs, and technical documentation.
• Assist with Apple Business Manager, School Manager, and MDM integrations (Jamf, Intune, etc.).
• Ensure smooth onboarding of Apple devices – zero-touch, Microsoft Autopilot deployment, configuration profiles, and application packaging.
• Validate technical readiness during rollouts and support handovers to post-sales teams.
• Maintain a knowledge base of success stories, use cases, and deployment guides.
