Senior AV Installation Engineer (CTS-I Required)

We at Brilyant are looking for a Senior AV Installation Engineer (CTS-I) to lead the on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced audiovisual systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong technical and leadership skills, capable of ensuring that every project meets AVIXA standards and client expectations flawlessly.

• Preferred Location: Bangalore
• Preferred Experience: 5+ years in AV integration or field engineering for enterprise or education environments.
• Preferred Certifications:
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist – Installation (CTS-I) (current and in good standing)

Requirement

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AV installation or field engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in rack fabrication, cable termination, and system commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of AV-over-IP, IT networking (VLANs, QoS, Dante, HDBaseT), and control systems (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD, Visio) and ensure precise on-site execution.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for managing technicians and subcontractors.
• Experience conducting client training and creating closeout documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in construction environments and handle physical installation requirements (OSHA certification a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation and commissioning of complex AV systems.
• Oversee rack builds, terminations, device mounting, and system wiring.
• Perform testing, calibration, and quality assurance for all AV, control, and network systems.
• Generate and maintain as-built documentation, punch lists, and closeout packages.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation or system handover.
• Conduct end-user training and ensure client satisfaction with system performance.
• Manage inventory, tools, and on-site safety compliance.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote best practices across the team.
