Senior Backend Developer (PHP)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend developer to join our dynamic fintech company. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintain and debugging our financial applications. You will collaborate closely with our frontend team and product managers to reach out to the best solutions for our applications. Application performance and security is a main role you have to take care about.

Job Description:

1. Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems for our fintech applications.

2. Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to define technical requirements and translate them into efficient code.

3. Implement and maintain APIs and microservices architecture to support seamless integration with other systems.

4. Optimize application performance, database queries, and system resources to ensure fast and efficient operation, practices and coding standards.

5. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the system.

6. Ensure data security and implement appropriate measures to protect sensitive information.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to fintech and backend development.

Requirements

• You have good experience in the programming language PHP/Laravel is a must and Python is preferred.
• Experience 5 years as a backend developer BA in computer science or any relevant Bachelors degree.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and react will be great to know.
• You have a good understanding of the entire product development process.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and optimize complex systems, and you work well in a team.
• You're curious about new technologies and you're excited to find ways to implement them in your work.
• Working in a product based environment, dealing with different teams business/sales/accounting.
• Good at communication skills overall.
