Role Overview

As a Senior Django Developer, you’ll be involved throughout the entire software development lifecycle - from concept and design to backend development and deployment. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to build reliable APIs, manage data workflows, and ensure seamless system performance for thousands of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend systems using Django and REST APIs.
• Build workflows, models, and views with clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend developers to deliver complete features.
• Perform database design, data modeling, and SQL optimization.
• Develop reusable modules with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation (API specs, DB schemas, and workflow maps).
• Debug, optimize, and enhance existing systems.
• Stay up-to-date with modern backend frameworks, tools, and deployment practices.
• Occasionally lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers.

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of proven experience in backend development using Django
• Strong knowledge of Python, OOP principles, and design patterns.
• Proficiency with Django REST Framework, SQL, and relational database design.
• Experience using Git and working in collaborative development environments.
• Familiarity with AI tools for development and automation.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of full development cycles.
• Must be based in Raipur or willing to relocate (onsite, 6 days/week).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and API security best practices.
• Familiarity with frontend integration, mobile APIs, and asynchronous tasks.
• Experience deploying Django apps using Linux servers or cloud platforms.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.
