About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems while ensuring seamless integration with various components. You will collaborate with stakeholders, front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions. The role involves troubleshooting and debugging to ensure system reliability and performance, staying updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements, and mentoring junior developers to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP, adhering to best practices and clean coding standards.
• Implement APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system architecture and development roadmaps.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Optimize backend systems for performance and scalability, ensuring robust and efficient systems.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing to ensure high-quality releases.
• Manage and monitor the deployment pipeline to ensure smooth and reliable releases.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in PHP backend development with proven expertise in frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC architecture principles.
• Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database optimization techniques.
• Experience with RESTful API design, integration, and version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to debug and optimize backend systems effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration and mentoring junior developers.
• Self-motivated and passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
