Senior Backend Specialist

Job Description:

MGC Freight is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, MERN Stack, NestJS, and Next.js at thier Bahria Town Lahore Office. The ideal candidate will have experience building high-performance APIs, cloud-based applications, and scalable backend systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, MERN stack, NestJS, and Next.js
• Design scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Manage and optimize databases using PostgreSQL
• Deploy and maintain applications on Amazon Web Services and Vercel
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of applications

Requirements:

• 4–5 years of experience as a Core Backend / Node.js Developer
• Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Proficiency with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Nest.js)
• Experience with NestJS and Next.js
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Familiarity with Git and version control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Docker and containerization
• leadership and strategic direction to the IT team will be plus
• Knowledge of GraphQL
• Experience in logistics or freight systems Software (a plus)
