Position Overview

The Senior Barista plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional specialty coffee experiences. The Senior Barista ensures quality, consistency, and operational excellence while guiding junior staff and contributing to a positive café atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality specialty coffee beverages following established recipes and standards.
• Lead daily bar operations, ensuring cleanliness, workflow efficiency, and adherence to food safety guidelines.
• Train and mentor Junior Baristas in brewing techniques, customer service, and café procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with guests to enhance their experience.
• Actively upsell beverages, signature drinks, and add-ons to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct quality checks on coffee beans, equipment calibration, and brewing methods.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and support management in resolving issues.
• Assist in inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels at the bar.
• Support in new drink development and seasonal menu suggestions.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 2–3 years of experience in specialty coffee or similar café environment.
• Strong knowledge of manual brewing methods (V60, Aeropress, Chemex, etc.) and espresso-based drinks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to upsell drinks and promote café offerings.
• Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support junior team members.

Job Description for Junior Barista

Position Overview

The Junior Barista is responsible for supporting the coffee bar operations by preparing high-quality drinks and delivering friendly customer service. This role requires a basic understanding of specialty coffee and a willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare specialty coffee beverages with consistency and attention to detail.
• Provide warm, friendly, and efficient customer service at all times.
• Support the Senior Barista in daily bar operations and workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and seating areas.
• Assist in restocking supplies, organizing inventory, and following café procedures.
• Upsell signature drinks and café offerings to enhance customer experience and sales.
• Learn and improve knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment.
• Follow all hygiene, safety, and quality standards set by the café.

Qualifications & Skills

• 6 months–1 year experience in specialty coffee or café setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of espresso machines and manual brewing methods (training available).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to upsell beverages and confidently recommend drinks to customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
