Senior Building Maintenance Worker

Overview

Join a Great Team at the Ranch, we are seeking an experienced maintenance professional!

In this role, you will perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work involving painting, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and electrical systems in the repair, alteration, and upkeep of County facilities, equipment, and grounds. You will serve in a lead capacity within the Building Maintenance Division by assigning tasks, training personnel, and supporting daily operations. This position also coordinates major maintenance and construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

Exercises indirect supervision over building maintenance staff.

Starts up and maintains boilers and HVAC systems

Operates, maintains, adjusts, and repairs a wide variety of equipment

Inspects and performs complex maintenance tasks on involving mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing tasks, fire alarms systems and access controls

What We're Looking For

Perform skilled journey level maintenance and repair work in the plumbing, mechanical, electrical, painting, and carpentry trade areas.

Work well in a team setting

Communicating clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing

Qualifications

All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.

Please Note

The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional weekend and holiday shifts, as well as on-call responsibilities as needed.
