Senior Bullion Accountant – Operations & Reconciliation

Marmara Gold Trading LLC is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bullion Accountant to oversee bullion accounting, physical inventory reconciliation, trade settlement verification, and operational reporting.

This role combines senior accounting responsibilities with operational control over physical precious metals (gold and silver). The ideal candidate will ensure full alignment between physical stock, ERP records, trading positions, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1- Bullion Accounting & Ledger Management

• Maintain accurate accounting records for gold and silver transactions.
• Record purchases, sales, transfers, allocations, and internal movements.
• Manage client metal balances and house accounts.
• Prepare periodic bullion balance statements.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment of premiums and margins.

2- Physical Inventory & Reconciliation

• Perform daily reconciliation of physical vault stock vs ERP/system records.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies immediately.

• Monitor stock aging and liquidity exposure.

• Maintain detailed audit trail for all bullion movements.

• Ensure zero unexplained stock variance.

3- Trade & Settlement Control

• Verify trade booking accuracy (volume, premium, price).
• Coordinate with trading desk to confirm allocation and settlement.
• Reconcile physical positions against hedge exposure.
• Prepare daily position reconciliation reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–12 years of experience in bullion trading, precious metals, or metal accounting.
• Strong background in inventory reconciliation and operational accounting.
• Experience working with Orosoft systems
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• High integrity and strong internal control awareness.
