Senior Business Analyst

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with 12+ years in the banking and financial services domain to lead critical transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner with business leaders, product owners, and technology teams to define strategic requirements, optimize business processes, and ensure successful delivery of regulatory-compliant, customer-centric banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business requirement analysis for complex banking programs across core banking, digital channels, payments, lending, wealth management, and regulatory compliance .
  • Collaborate with C-level stakeholders, SMEs, and product owners to shape the business strategy into actionable requirements.
  • Drive requirement elicitation workshops, gap analysis, process re-engineering, and solution design .
  • Define and maintain high-quality BRDs, FRDs, user stories, epics, workflows, and data models .
  • Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts , ensuring consistency in practices and documentation standards.
  • Serve as a bridge between business, technology, operations, and compliance teams to deliver scalable banking solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory mandates (Basel III, AML/KYC, PSD2, MiFID, GDPR, etc.) and risk frameworks.
  • Partner with program managers, Scrum Masters, and solution architects in Agile/Scaled Agile or hybrid delivery environments .
  • Support UAT strategy, test case validation, and defect triage to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing trends, identifying gaps, and recommending process/system enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking/Financial Services domain .
  • Strong expertise in banking operations, digital banking, payments, loans, core banking transformations, regulatory projects, and risk/compliance initiatives .
  • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programs and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools ( JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps ) and traditional requirement documentation.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills .
  • Strong communication and presentation skills , with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related discipline.
