The client is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with 5–8 years of experience in the banking sector to support strategic and operational initiatives across business and technology teams. The role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, improving banking processes, and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions that align with regulatory, operational, and customer experience objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong domain knowledge in banking operations, regulatory frameworks, and digital banking solutions, along with the ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirements & Analysis:
•Engage with stakeholders across banking functions to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
•Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FRD), user stories, and process documentation.
•Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for IT development teams.
•Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new initiatives and system changes.
Banking Process Optimization:
•Analyze current banking workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance customer experience.
•Design and document end-to-end business processes, workflows, and use cases.
•Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation within banking operations.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
•Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, project managers, and external vendors.
•Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution discussions.
•Ensure alignment between business expectations and technology deliverables.
Project Delivery Support:
•Support project lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-implementation review.
•Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business needs.
•Assist project managers with risk identification, change requests, and project documentation.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
•Analyze operational and transactional data to support business decision-making.
•Develop reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs, operational performance, and project outcomes.
•Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends.
Regulatory & Compliance Support:
•Ensure business requirements align with banking regulations, internal policies, and compliance frameworks.
•Support initiatives related to risk management, audit findings, and regulatory reporting.
Key Banking Domains (Preferred Experience):
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following banking areas:
•Retail Banking
•Corporate / Commercial Banking
•Digital Banking Platforms
•Payments and Cards
•Treasury Operations
•Risk and Compliance
•Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / KYC
•Trade Finance
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline.
•5–8 years of Business Analysis experience, with significant exposure to the banking or financial services industry.
•Strong experience in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and solution documentation.
•Good understanding of banking products, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.
•Experience working with Agile or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
•Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills & Tools:
•Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
•Knowledge of process modeling techniques such as BPMN or UML.
•Experience working on core banking systems, digital banking platforms, or payment systems.
•Familiarity with data analysis tools and SQL.
Certifications (Preferred):
•CBAP – Certified Business Analysis Professional
•PMI-PBA – Professional in Business Analysis
•Agile / Scrum Certifications
•Banking-related certifications in risk, compliance, or financial operations
