SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST – BANKING DOMAIN (Hybrid | Woodbridge, NJ)

Location: Woodbridge, NJ (Hybrid – 1–2 days/week)
Duration: 6–9 months (possible extension)

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in core banking systems including Deposits, Loans, Payments, and related ancillary systems. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in banking application conversions, data migration, and system integrations, with a deep understanding of both business requirements and technical solutions.

This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless delivery of technology initiatives aligned with business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a bridge between business users, IT, and vendors.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Document current and future state workflows and create detailed process flow diagrams.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), non-functional requirements, and use cases.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and testing.
• Provide subject matter expertise and clarify requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage competing priorities and communicate risks and issues proactively.
• Work closely with enterprise architecture and project management teams to ensure delivery excellence.
• Support QA and UAT processes, including defect analysis and resolution.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking domain.
• Strong understanding of core banking modules — Deposits, Loans, Payments, and ancillary systems.
• Hands-on experience with core banking conversions, data migration, system integrations, and enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and SLC methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience using Agile tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in an onshore–offshore delivery model.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Must be bondable and able to handle confidential information responsibly.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

PREFERRED:

• Prior experience in core banking conversion projects is highly preferred.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration and project delivery.
