Senior Business Analyst – Retail API

We are building a set of modern Enterprise APIs for a retail industry client using an Azure technology stack.

Join our team as a Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis efforts for Pricing and Inventory APIs and collaborate closely with SMEs and development teams. Apply now to contribute your expertise in retail and API projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with business SMEs to outline current business processes and future states for Pricing or Inventory APIs
• Define project scope boundaries with development teams and IT SMEs
• Lead and drive conversations with customer representatives
• Document data mapping rules and API outbound specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed documentation
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather and validate requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in retail APIs
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and governance
• Support testing and validation of API functionalities
• Monitor project progress and communicate status to stakeholders
• Assist in risk identification and mitigation related to business analysis tasks
• Provide training and support to junior analysts as needed

Requirements

• 7-10 years experience in business analysis
• Strong experience in retail domain
• Proven expertise in defining and documenting business requirements
• Experience with API gateways and related technologies
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technology stack
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead discussions and influence stakeholders proactively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills in English at B2+ level
• Experience working with development and IT teams
• Ability to document complex business processes and data mappings
• Project scope management experience
• Team collaboration and facilitation skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
