Senior Business Analyst – Strategic PMO (National Programs)

Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst – Strategic PMO (National Programs) is a leadership role entrusted with guiding the strategic planning and execution of high-impact national initiatives that align with the organization’s vision and objectives. This position requires an in-depth understanding of project management methodologies, critical thinking, and an exceptional ability to analyze data trends to inform decision-making processes. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring that insights are translated into actionable strategies to optimize program outcomes. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for assessing risks, developing mitigation strategies, and providing comprehensive reports to executive management, ensuring transparency and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on project management within a strategic capacity.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale national programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools and data analytics software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Strong experience in developing strategic business cases, including cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and ROI calculations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple departments and projects to drive strategic alignment and prioritize initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management practices relevant to national programs.
  • Competency in developing and managing project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring delivery within scope and on schedule.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and training sessions to enhance team performance and stakeholder engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive analysis of business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and strategic alignment with national programs.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, project charters, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to drive execution and monitor project milestones, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting to provide insights into program performance and inform decision-making at the executive level.
  • Build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and ensure collaborative program delivery.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts for enhanced team capability and productivity in business analysis activities.
  • Facilitate change management processes by evaluating the impact of project initiatives on processes and stakeholders.
  • Present findings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to ensure project success.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business analysis and project management, recommending enhancements to internal processes and tools.
